Become a part of the Vet College domain
Our website, www.vet.cornell.edu, is currently hosted in Drupal by Pantheon. What this option would mean is that all of your pages would be under our domain and would have URL’s similar to www.vet.cornell.edu/pagename. VMIT offers limited support such as setup and training and you would be responsible for daily maintenance of your page(s). This option is not available for student-run or community groups.
Cornell’s blog service
Cornell’s blog service platform provides an online publishing platform called CampusPress. This is basically a standardized set of features within WordPress and not a full WordPress installation. It is ideal for simple websites and has a lot of options to choose from within a standard collection of themes, plug-ins and widgets. If one of the listed themes is not right for your project, you also have the option of hiring Custom Web Development (CWD) to create a custom theme. Vendor hosting
Hosting through an external service is also available but is not supported by through our normal VMIT processes. VMIT will help broker a solution and, if the project is a priority of the college, can host a solution on various platforms. If you are seeking a drupal solution, we recommend working with CWD and utilizing pantheon.io .
