Above and belowground drivers of weed-soybean competition in a long-term organic cropping systems experiment

Research Interests with the Sustainable Cropping Systems Lab
For Margaret’s master’s work, her research addressed soil quality effects on weed competition and long-term soil quality changes in response to organic management. She studied cropping systems from multiple angles, aiming to assist Central NY’s transition toward agriculture that strengthens environmental health, food security, and the local economy. She was especially interested in enhancing connections between researchers, extension educators, and innovative farmers in this region.
