A Survey for Strawberry Growers: Mulching Practices

Attention, strawberry growers! A group of research institutions throughout the U.S. is conducting a survey of the use of mulches in strawberry producers. We have a unique and diverse approach to mulching in the Northeast, and we hope that you can contribute to our understanding by taking this brief survey. All results are strictly confidential. More details below…

Washington State University, along with the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources, the University of Florida, the University of Tennessee Knoxville, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, California Polytechnic State University, California State University Chico, PDO Technologies, and the California Marine Sanctuary Foundation are conducting research on the use of agricultural mulches among strawberry growers funded by USDA.

The researchers understand that your time is valuable. They hope you could share with the research team information about your current practices and opinions about different types of agricultural mulches by completing this short online survey.

The survey is located at this link.

Responses to this survey are voluntary and answers will be kept completely confidential. The survey is being conducted by Washington State University’s Social and Economic Sciences Research Center and is certified exempt by the WSU IRB 20193-001. No individual or business will ever be identified in our results.

If you have any questions about why this survey is being done, about accessing the survey, or anything else related to the survey, please contact the SESRC at strawberry.survey@wsu.edu or call them toll free at 1-800-833-0867.

Thank you for considering this request! The research team hopes to hear from you soon.
