Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County invites farms, food-based businesses and agricultural businesses to join them on Friday, February 23rd as we hear from a variety of presenters on NYS grant and low-interest loan programs for farms & food-based businesses for who have been in operation for more than three years.

Presenters at this session will include:

  • USDA:·Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service & Soil & Water Conservation District
  • USDA Rural Development (Value-Added Producer, Meat Processor Expansion, etc…)
  • USDA Ag Marketing Service (Farmers Market Promotion Program, Local Foods Promotion Program, etc…)
  • NBT Bank
  • Farm Credit East
  • NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets
  • NY Farm Viability Institute (Beginning Farmer & NY Grown & Certified)

This is a great opportunity to learn about the options for accessing financing, conservation programs, and other resources to grow your farm and/or food-based business!
