It’s award season, and many Plant Sciences majors have received recent recognitions, including:
- At the Dean’s Awards Dinner held April 17, Jeremy Pardo was named a CALS Class of 2017 Degree Marshal, and received both a SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence and a CALS Academic Excellence award.
- Incoming Hortus Forum president Hauk Boyes received the Western Reserve Herb Society Scholarship.
- Nicolas Glynos received a Young Botanist Award from the Botanical Society of America, which recognizes outstanding graduating seniors in the plant sciences nationwide. He also received a CALS Academic Excellence award.
- Sarah Hetrick received the CALS scholarship to attend the Farm Foundation Round Table Cultivator program in June.
- Lindsay Chamberlain will receive the Ring Memorial Award (along with Jeremy Pardo) recognizing the top two graduating Plant Sciences majors later this month.
- Marcus Ruberg will receive the Kenneth Post Award, which recognizes an outstanding senior in Plant Sciences.
- Jonathan Price will receive the Henry Schenkel Jr. Memorial Fund Award which recognizes an outstanding sophomore or junior in Plant Sciences.
