Mindful Eating: Part 2

Where are you headed next?

It seems like we are always in the car driving. While we are driving we pass food place after food place. It’s now perfectly acceptable to eat while doing pretty much anything and food’s available for nibbling and sipping everywhere.

After a long day at work these fast food places seem tempting but what do you notice about your food while eating and driving? While eating might take your mind off the road, traffic also takes your mind off your food.

I know that it can sometimes seem difficult to take the time to slow down and not eat on the run but there are so many benefits to mindful eating!

Here are a few of my favorites:

You learn to really taste food, and to enjoy the taste of healthy food.

You learn to eat when you’re hungry, and stop when you’re full.

You choose to eat food that is tasty but also notice the energy that the food gives

Start small. Not eating on the go for every meal may seem impossible with busy schedules so try once a day or once a week.
