Spring is here and for many parents of toddlers that brings to mind going to the park, playing in the garden and of course, toilet learning! It seems as the weather warms up and children are wearing fewer clothes this is an ideal time for parents to embark on the journey of teaching their little ones to use the potty. Although this may be an ideal time for you, it is important to ask if this is an ideal time for your child. Is he developmentally ready to learn this new skill? CCE’s Family Health and Wellness program is presenting “Coping with Toilet Learning” at our Extension Education Center in Riverhead on Tuesday, April 29th from 7-9 p.m. During this program, we will discuss the signs of readiness and offer guidelines to successful toilet learning.
