About Us

We are excited to announce the launch of the newly formed Center for Teaching Innovation (CTI). This new academic unit is designed to support Cornell’s teaching community with a range of programs and services centered around effective teaching and innovative learning practices. The CTI merges staff and programs from the former Center of Teaching Excellence and Academic Technologies, which previously resided within Cornell Information Technologies.

Academic Technologies provides support for faculty interested in optimizing instructional technology inside and outside of the classroom. This involves a focus on innovative ways to integrate technology and digital materials into courses, as well as training in research-based effective practices on the best uses of technology for teaching and learning.

Academic Technologies staff provide measurable learning technology services to campus, while developing, implementing, and supporting a suite of learning technology services for upwards of 20,000 users (faculty, students, TA’s, and college support staff) in Ithaca and other Cornell locations.
