Concur mobile app sign in changes in March

With its November release (version 9.86), SAP Concur disabled the mobile PIN sign-in option for its mobile app. As a Cornell user, you will be required to sign in using single sign-on (SSO) with your NetID and password. This change increases the security of your and Cornell’s financial data.

The mobile PIN option may still be available on older versions of the app until March 2021. Beginning with its release in March 2021 (version 9.89), the mobile PIN sign-in experience will no longer be available, and users must sign in using Cornell’s SSO credentials.

What you should do

  • If you have been using a mobile PIN, you may be logged out of the Concur app and asked to log in with your Cornell credentials (NetID and password). You will need to enter Cornell’s company code (AYKGXY) to sign in the first time. See Activating SAP Concur Mobile for complete instructions.
  • If you have never established a mobile PIN for the Concur app, you don’t need to do anything.

Other changes with version 9.86:

  • Auto sign-in support will be retired.
  • Biometric sign-in options (fingerprint TouchID and face recognition) for Android (already available in iOS) will be active, where supported and available.

Mobile app depreciation policy changes

Last year, we communicated changes to SAP Concur’s mobile app depreciation policy. In January 2021, to further improve security and availability of resources, SAP Concur updated the policy to support only the current and two previous versions (a total of three) instead of seven. This change means that if you have an unsupported version of the SAP Concur mobile app, you will be signed out and directed to your device’s app store to update your version. Your data isn’t stored on your device, so it will still be maintained.

What you should do

  • If you update apps manually, update your SAP Concur mobile app to the most current version to avoid any interruptions. The best practice is to update SAP Concur mobile automatically.
  • If your mobile device updates apps automatically, you don’t need to do anything.

How to check what version you have

If you’re not sure what version of SAP Concur you have:

  1. Open SAP Concur on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the hamburger (three lines) menu in the top-left corner.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Scroll down to General.

Your version number is the first item listed.
