We reached first trap catch in both Washington and Rensselaer counties today.
In Washington county, 2 males and 1 female SWD were trapped in a cherry orchard, in both the sticky trap and drowning jar traps.
In Rensselaer county, incidentally, 4 male and 1 female SWD were trapped in a drowning jar trap. A single SWD was found at this farm two weeks ago, but because they were not trapped in consecutive weeks, it is not yet technically at "sustained trap catch".
