I’ll admit, the whole reason I went on the behind the scenes tour was the prospect of a secret tunnel. However, the erst of the tour ended up being even more interesting than the secret tunnel. I thought the best part was the war memorial room. Here’s a picture of the room

I always thought it was strange that the memorial didn’t have any actual commemorative area, but I discovered that it does, just off limits to the public. After the war memorial we headed over to Becker House, where we went through the “secret tunnel” that workers use to transport food from Becker’s loading dock to the Rose dining hall. Now, if you were imagining an old, underground cavern complete with torches and everything, as I was, you may be a bit disappointed. However this modern tunnel is still cool, and opened my eyes to how my food reaches me, something I had never bothered to consider before.
