On Tuesday and Wednesday, March 15th and 16th, our ninth (and third all-virtual) Annual Conference invited the public to learn about Biological Control, what we called Partners in the Garden. Eighty registrants joined our ten speakers and IPM staff for informative presentations and discussion during two full mornings and a special afternoon workshop.
We’d like to again thank our presenters:
Carol Glenister of IPM Labs, and Cornell’s Jennifer Thaler, John Losey, Bryan Brown, Joellen Lampman, Amara Dunn, Mary Centrella, Alejandro Calixto, Jody Gangloff-Kaufmann, and Kyle Wickings.

Betsy Lamb hosted the zoom event and was lead on our committee (which included Jody Gangloff-Kaufmann, Joellen Lampman, Amara Dunn, and Debra Marvin)
And we could not have done a bit of it this week without the exceptional organizational expertise of Cornell AgriTech’s Kim Paul and Gemma Osborne (who were very busy in March with the virtual Veg Expo!) Kim’s behind-the-scenes magic kept everything running smoothly from the planning stages to the close of the conference.
Conference attendees from around the state and region and included university staff, state programs, Cooperative Extension Educators and Master Gardeners. They were invited to participate in pre- and post-surveys that gauge what they learned and helps us continue to provide effective and interesting conferences for our broad audiences in community and agricultural settings. To thank them, they will receive a flash drive full of resources and a recap of the presentations.
Thank you to all who made this a successful and enjoyable conference!
