An award-winning digital strategist, Jody brings nearly 20 years of experience managing higher education websites and integrating communications materials throughout the broader web ecosystem to the NYSIPM team.

“We could not be more excited to announce Jody’s appointment to this newly-created role. Her passion for developing and improving accessible and engaging applications and web content will be invaluable as we work to enhance and expand the reach of our digital tools,” NYSIPM Director Alejandro Calixto said.

Prior to joining the NYSIPM team, Benedict served as associate director, web strategy for St. John Fisher College, where she helped lead the award-winning redesign and migration of the College’s website and designed dynamic print and digital campaign materials.

“I’m truly excited to join the NYSIPM team,” Benedict said. “This is a chance for me to do work that I love, to learn and share information, and to help the community learn and access world-class research and expertise of NYS IPM.”

Benedict holds a B. F. A. in Graphic Design from Oswego State University and an A. A. in Liberal Arts from Finger Lakes Community College. She and her partner live on her family’s farm in Newark.
