Can rankings of Web Pages influence our thoughts?
Search engines are being used at an all time high and the rate at which they are being used will only increase as time progresses. Although most of our searches can be found within the first few web pages that appear, what kind of pages begin appearing after that? Of course, anyone with common sense will overlook that aspect as there’d be no reason to really waste time looking over anything past what you need. However, can one of the web pages that low in ranking now somehow improve on ranking and perhaps start gaining traction towards popularity? Maybe they are full of ideas that aren’t accepted right now but can perhaps make a change for the future.

Although there are many other concepts that are combined to make up the overall web rankings, these simple concepts give us a brief overview on how many of these web pages are ranked the way they are.
We learned in class about rankings and how they can they found using the Authority Update algorithm. Although this is one of many combined ways to think of how rankings are constructed, it allowed us to get the basic understanding of how search engines list their outputs for when we are looking for things on the internet.
