LAURENT FERRI

Laurent Ferri is the Curator of the pre-1800 Collections in the Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections of Cornell University Library. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Comparative Literature and a member of the Medieval Studies Program and Graduate Field  at Cornell. A scholar of intellectual and art history, Ferri also served as Director of the Rare Book Library at the Condé Museum located in the castle of Chantilly, France. In 2018, he published Les très riches heures du duc de Berry: Un livre-cathédrale (Skira).

Among the rare books and archival collections Laurent Ferri supervises at Cornell is the large pre-1800 collection in History of Science. In relation to the Humanities Lab, Ferri is currently at work on the first French anthology of writings by 17th C. polymath and engineer Athanasius Kircher.
