At Cornell University, Jacob Matthews is a PhD candidate in Romance Studies, with a minor in Cognitive Science, and extended expertise on natural language processing. He holds a BA in French and Francophone Studies with a concentration in Economics from Columbia University, and a MA in Romance Studies from Cornell. He was part of the research team on artificial intelligence and poetry as well as the Secretary of the Humanities and AI faculty group.
