Josh is a first-year Plant Biology PhD student. His research interests lie in the evolution of breeding systems in monocots and the impact of these systems on floral traits.

Josh earned a B.A. in Organismal Biology and Ecology from Colorado College, where he conducted research on reproductive biology and life history evolution in Bromeliaceae. He also participated in an REU through the Missouri Botanical Gardens, where he investigated the effects of non-native plants on bee visitation networks using the citizen science project Shutterbee.
