Heather is in her final year as a PhD student at Cornell University. She joined the Specht Lab in 2018 with an interest in studying the evolution and development of floral fusion phenotypes.
Prior to coming to Cornell, Heather earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences at UC Davis, as well as a MSc in Plant Biology at the University of Bath. Her previous research experience involves Olive cultivar genotyping with Foundation Plant Services and investigating the genotype dependent effects of autopolyploidy with the Kover Lab.
