Summary:

The SIPS Graduate Student Council came together this evening for their second meeting of the year.  I just wanted to pass along a few highlights of the meeting and direct you to the detailed meeting notes online.

Members of the GSC Executive Board will be joining the SIPS Executive Committee on Wednesday, November 29th.  We plan to introduce the GSC to committee members and discuss any relevant priority areas moving forward.  If you would like to add anything to the agenda or have any other comments, please e-mail the GSC at sips_gsc@cornell.edu.

We had a wonderful turnout at this year’s SIPS Student-Invited Seminar.  Thank you for joining us!  There were several nominated speakers for this year’s event that were unable to attend this year’s event, and we have decided to reach out to the top-three nominated speakers (see meeting notes) from last year in order to ensure calendar availability for next fall.

Finally, the organizers of the Diversity Preview Weekend will be meeting this Wednesday, November 15th at 5:30pm.  Please see meeting notes for further details.
