The mission of the School of Integrative Plant Science (SIPS) Graduate Student Council is to serve as the unified voice of SIPS graduate students and to encourage SIPS-wide communication and collaboration.
Purpose
The Graduate Student Council (GSC) is a representative body of graduate students across the five sections within SIPS: Horticulture, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Plant Biology, Soil and Crop Sciences, and Plant Pathology and Plant-Microbe Biology. We host SIPS-wide social and educational events. Representing the collective voice of SIPS graduate students, GSC members attend meetings with the SIPS Executive Committee (meeting of all section Chairs) and the Graduate Fields Council (meeting of all section Directors of Graduate Studies and Graduate Field Coordinators) to discuss current policies, action items, or concerns that arise within the SIPS community.
