Peer Mentors

Peer mentors(PM) are current Cornell students who assist with the success of PSSP. The PM position is a full-time, live-in position with the PSSP program. They serve as mentors, leaders, and resource for students participating in the PSSP program. Specifically, they assist students with meeting their academic responsibilities, develop and maintain helping relationships with students they are mentoring, and create, plan, and oversee weekly and monthly events and office hours within the residence hall.

Required Qualifications:

  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK AND LIVE ON CAMPUS THE ENTIRE TIMEFRAME OF THE PROGRAM: JUNE 9, 2024, through AUGUST 8, 2024.
  • Rising sophomore or higher with full-time student status
  • Grade point average of 2.5 or greater required and in good academic standing (as defined by the individual colleges)
