Recommended Practices for Seed Potato Field Inspection – 2018 – This inspectors field guide is based on the “Guide to Seed Potato Field Inspection: Recommended Practices” produced by the the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE – see below). It has been revised for application in the USA by Willem Shrage (ND State Seed Deprtment) and Nina Zidack (MT State University) and provides general guidelines for assessing certified seed potato fields for important faults including disease, insect infestation, varietal mixtures, herbicide injury and other field related issues that are common across all seed potato producing areas. Hard copies of the guide were distributed at the 2016 Potato Virus Detection Training Workshop held in Othello, WA.
