Prof. Goldfarb Takes Reins as Principal Editor of Fuel

This year marks not only the 100th Birthday of Fuel, but also the first time a woman – Prof. Jillian Goldfarb – has served as its Principal Editor. In her first letter from the Editor, Prof Goldfarb writes:

The advances we’ve made toward being an inclusive community are reflected in our increasingly diverse reviewer pools and Editorial boards. While we still have a long way to go, I am encouraged by the progress we’ve made, and I am committed to ensuring fair and equitable evaluation of all authors’ work. To quote Sir. George Beilby in his Forward to the very first Fuel issue in 1922: “The solution of the fuel problems of the immediate future calls for thinkers and workers who are prepared to devote their best energies to the work: there is plenty of room for all real researchers.”
