Winter Games

Winter is coming! Low temperatures and icy sidewalks make it hard to spend time outside. So how are we supposed to keep up with our exercise? This is where it’s time to get creative! There are many ways to get moving without getting cold. Check them out!

Whatever you decide to do, remember to stay safe! This means staying warm and dry. Pay attention to your body as you’re out and about. If you start to lose feeling in your fingers or toes, it’s time to head back inside. When dressing kids, think head to toe – beanies, scarves, gloves and proper shoes. Make being outside less about the cold and more about the fun.

  • Stick with the season and visit a local ice skating rink. Call ahead and see if they have any discount days for the family.
  • Visit a local high school or college that may have an indoor track or gym.
