ASPCA® Cornell Maddie’s® Shelter Medicine Conference 

July 9-11, 2021

Dates for the 2021 ASPCA Cornell Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Program have officially been announced. This year, the conference will again be held entirely online, offering even more inter-activity and learning opportunities. More detail will be announced soon on the ASPCApro website.

Midwest Vet Conference

Feb 16 – 20, 2021

This conference from the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association provides multiple tracks, including shelter medicine, behavior, public health, and leadership. MSMP’s own Assistant Clinical Professor, Dr. Lena DeTar, will be speaking about “Feline URI: A Tail of Two Shelters”; ‘Canine Respiratory Disease: Keepin’ Your Nose Clean”; and “Diagnostics on a Dime: Keep Your Shelter Population Healthy Without Breaking the Bank.” Registration for this event is now open.

Humane Canada National Conference

April 6-8 2021

Registration is now open for this annual professional development and community-building event organized by Humane Canada™, the federation of humane societies and SPCAs. NAWC is a professional event for the animal welfare sector and includes attendees from the following areas: SPCA, humane societies and shelter/rescue employees; students in any discipline; veterinarians and veterinary staff; academics; researchers and scientists; animal enforcement personnel; animal care professionals who work with companion animals, farm animals or wildlife, and; people who advocate for animals or those who have an interest in animal welfare. In order to make this online conference affordable and inclusive for everyone, conference registration fees have been significantly lowered. 

Best Friends Virtual Conference

June 23-24, 2021

During this online event, thousands of animal welfare leaders from around the country will virtually gather together and share solutions to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats.
