Reliable Resource: “Weeding out the Stigma of CBD” with Dr. Jesse Strong of the ASPCA Poison Control Center

On October 21, 2020,  Dr. Jesse Strong, DVM, of the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center presented a webinar on “Weeding out the Stigma of CBD” in veterinary medicine.  This often comes up in shelters as staff and volunteers wonder where OTC CBD products can help or hurt their animals.

Dr. Strong discusses

  • the difference between CBD and THC
  • issues surrounding pets’ exposure to oils, edibles, topicals, or other CBD products
  • information on current research
  • the legalities of discussing safety and toxicologic concerns with pet owners
  • what to look for in labels to identify safely regulated CBD prescriptions for pets

This presentation is approved for one hour of free RACE credit for veterinary professionals.
