Afro-Asia Digital Cookbook Final Project
• produce an original recipe (1 / group) based on one of your oral histories (1 / group) or family photo collages.
• 5-final paper reflecting on themes of food in assigned readings
• Presentation [Dec 14 and Dec 16]
Food writing is a form of life writing according to Parama Roy author of Alimentary Tracts. Design a chapter (5 Instagram posts) of the digital cookbook with your groupmates. You may use but are not limited to graphics editing software [Photoshop, iMovie, Mixxx, iTalk] to craft your part of the Afro-Asia cookbook. Consider how it could be a digital sensorial experience. How does taste and smell translate digitally?
We will conclude the semester with a presentation of the cookbook. You will provide a peer evaluation of group members to explain how you divided up the work.
