Meet the New Cornell University Travel and Meal Card

Some of the greatest benefits that can be attained by using Concur come when it’s used in conjunction with an associated corporate credit card. In order to make this possible, the university has arranged for the new Cornell University Travel and Meal Card from U.S. Bank.

With the travel card, you won’t need to incur out-of-pocket expenses, and charges will flow directly into the system, making the expense report process easier.

Expenses charged to the travel and meal card automatically feed into your Concur expense report–they don’t require manual data entry. There’s reduced need for paper receipts and no need for currency conversion documentation or calculation.

Travelers will be able to use the travel and meal card to make their own conference registrations in advance and still be able to include it in their expense report. Travel accident and lost luggage insurance is also included with this card. Cardholders will also be able to pay for locally hosted business meals with this card.

Departmental travel arrangers benefit, too. With each traveler’s card stored securely in their profile, a departmental travel arranger can book for many travelers in a streamlined fashion. All of the card’s transactions are automatically loaded into Concur and become Available Expenses to be applied to a traveler’s expense report.
