“IT Security Office Hours” via Zoom

On Friday, October 9th from Noon – 3pm

Join the IT Security Office live on Zoom and talk with IT security engineers. They’ll be available to answer your IT security questions and help you set up Cornell services like LastPass and Two-Step Login.


“Trading our Privacy” via Zoom

On Wednesday, October 21st at 4pm – Presented by: Dan Villanti and Meryl Bursic, members of the IT Security Office.

Social media and free online services are an everyday part of modern life. But how is our personal information being shared and wielded across the web? What are we giving away without knowing it, and what are the dangers of this pervasive free digital culture? Learn how to mitigate privacy and security risks and more.


“Social Engineering” via Zoom

On Wednesday, October 28st at 3pm – Presented by: Eric Wiessinger, member of the IT Security Office.

Scammers rely heavily on social engineering techniques – appealing to our sense of duty, our fears, and our best intentions. In this session, learn some of the key techniques scammers utilize to improve your awareness. Short clips from popular media will demonstrate and reinforce the techniques!
