As many of you may have heard, there is now a Cornell Cooperative Extension official branding website at https://brand.cce.cornell.edu.
I encourage everyone to visit this official CCE brand guide to explore and use the tools, resources, and guides that comprise our new visual identity. These assets will help us all consistently communicate the value of Cooperative Extension.
Tools and Resources
The Downloads section of this site has new logo files for your office use as well as some standard templates that you can start using today!
I updated some of our association’s templates, such as letterhead, business cards and PowerPoint templates this past week to fit with the new guidelines. They are available now at X:\Communications\CCE Logos-Letterhead. (Please let me know if there are any corrections that need to be made to any of them or if you have other templates you’d like me to upload for you to this folder.)
FYI – We are allowed to use up any printed material that we have with the legacy, three-line logo.
Get Involved!
There will be additional materials that will be developed and released over time so please check back at the CCE branding website on a regular basis. Feedback and questions are encouraged!

During my exploration of the new guidelines, I asked some questions to the Communications team as well, below are those Q&As.
- When we print and/or order new envelopes, where can we place the Cornell seal?
- The seal can be placed on the front, lower left of the envelope or centered on the back. (See example for an envelope, with no seal included, at: X:\Communications\CCE Logos-Letterhead\Wyoming)
- Can we place the Cornell seal/insignia on the left of our new two-line wordmarks, like it was with the three-line logo?
- No, the university (shield) insignia can no longer be locked up to the Extension wordmark. Associations can still use the Cornell insignia, but they must follow Cornell’s guidelines on placement.
(You can visit Cornell University’s brand center at http://brand.cornell.edu/.)
- No, the university (shield) insignia can no longer be locked up to the Extension wordmark. Associations can still use the Cornell insignia, but they must follow Cornell’s guidelines on placement.
- The EEO statement on the example letterhead on the CCE branding website at http://brand.cce.cornell.edu/stationery/ is different than what is currently on our association’s letterhead. Has this changed?
- No, our CCE EEO statement that needs to be applied to letterhead, annual reports, etc. is still “Cornell Cooperative Extension is an employer and educator recognized for valuing AA/EEO, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities and provides equal program and employment opportunities”
