Video Editing Options

Adobe Premiere is what many use, since it is free through Cornell and a really good program.

There are great video tutorials on Lynda.com (which are also free for anyone with a Cornell NetID), so if you can, I highly recommend using this program.

Of course, for users with not a lot of time to learn a new program, just need to make some quick, simple edits or those working on older computers, we needed to look to see if there were other options out there.

The one I found that looked like the best replacement so far for Windows Movie Maker is VideoPad Video Editor.  It can be downloaded from:

http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/index.html

(Or if you are in my WSBN, the install file is also saved on our server here:  X:\IT\Installers\Video Editing Software – VideoPad)

Some other options that were mentioned or found during my search:

Also, for mobile devices, another suggestion was made:

iMovie for iPhone/iPad is easy to use and there is Premiere Clip for Android/iPhone.
