Open graduate positions available in Tumbar Lab
January 11, 2023
We are looking to recruit graduate students in the Tumbar Lab to work on two projects on epithelial stem cell biology, which will be newly funded this year by the NIH. The first project aims to understand how heterogenous population of epidermal stem cells are spatially and molecularly organized to confer robust protection of skin to UV exposure and to other environmental challenges. The second project is focusing on the molecular cross-talking between epithelial stem cells and their endothelial and perineurial niches, and how this cross-talking is essential for skin tissue homeostasis and wound healing. We use mouse genetics and genomic approaches combined with cell and molecular biology techniques as discovery tools. If interested please email the PI, Doina Tumbar at tt252@cornell.edu
