Undergraduate Position (Closed)

The Tumbar Lab of Tissue Stem Cell Biology has two openings for undergraduate research assistants. We are looking for self-motivated freshman/sophomore undergraduate students to assist with research lab work. The primary role of the undergraduate student includes maintaining the mouse colony, performing wet lab experiments (immuno-staining, imaging, and other molecular biology experiments), and assisting in analyzing sequencing data (RNA-seq / single cell RNA-seq). By applying to this position, you can gain independent research experience, learn about cool biology, and be an author on research papers from the Tumbar lab. The positions will begin this summer (for pay) and continue for credit during the semester.
Below are some specifics:
1) You have to be a freshman or sophomore to apply to this position
2) Minimum 15 hrs/week of time commitment during the semester for credit.
3) Completed BIOMG1350 and 2800 or currently taking the latter (if you haven’t taken it but think you are a strong candidate, don’t hesitate to reach out).
4) Previous lab experience is preferred but not a must.
