Please be aware that many of our studies provide a monetary award in the form of a cash card (gift card) or actual cash.
Cornell University tracks these amounts, and IRS rules require us to file a 1099 tax form for anyone receiving $600 or more during the course of a calendar year.
For anyone who receives less than $600 within a calendar year, no 1099 tax forms are required or submitted.
