For this tree sap study, we had panelists taste samples of different types of ‘tree sap beverages’ and provide feedback about what they tasted. For many of the panelists, this type of product was completely new, and they had never tasted anything like this before.
Once the data is collected, researchers are able to determine what qualities are desirable and in which ways to improve their products!
