Welcome to IFT16!
This year it was held in Chicago, Illinois in July. Thousands of visitors and exhibitors from all over the world descended on the McCormick place for the 4 days of Expo and Scientific Sessions.
Cornell Food Science was well represented at the expo floor and at different meetings and activities: Division Sections meetings, student competitions, poster sessions, Fun Run/Walk, etc. Here are just a few pictures to share.
Cornell booth at IFT: We had many visitors. Thank you all for the interest in the Cornell Food Science academic programs, Sensory Evaluation Center and CIFS/Cornell Institute For Food Systems services!
Fun Run/Walk: Yes, we were up at 5:30am and completed the 5K walk at Burnham Park. This annual event raises money to benefit the scholarship program of Feeding Tomorrow, the Foundation of the Institute of Food Technologists.
At the Sensory & Consumer Sciences Division networking mixer: It was so great to see old friends and meet new people in the profession. Pictured below are Sierra Jamir (Cornell Food Science, class of 2018), Sonia Rubico-Jamir and Alina Stelick. Sierra started working at the Sensory Evaluation Center this past spring and will continue on this fall.
