I have seen posters of Spirited Away movie many times when I was little. I enjoy watching other Japanese anime and since I heard this movie is very popular, I always wanted to watch it. I really enjoyed the beautiful illustrations of this movie. The cross between the real world and the dream world (“spirit world” as movie states) made this film interesting for me. In addition, the movie also emphasized filial piety, family connection, and love. This aspect of the film made it easier for me to understand and connect. I like how Friday Movie Night has a diverse genre of films.
