Cornell Giving Day took place on March 16, 2022. Giving Day focuses on the campaign of “to do the greatest good ” and this year doing the greatest good will be supported by $12,243,629 that were raised for the University as a whole. That included 15,904 donors and 23,184 gifts total. That number keeps growing, even after Giving Day has passed! The College of Veterinary Medicine raised $220,830 which will support animal and human health.

Maddie’s® Shelter Medicine Program (MSMP) also received generous donations totaling $9,125, which included 40 donors and gifts. Because MSMP primarily operates off of philanthropic dollars, #ThankstoMaddie, this is a huge help for the program! These funds are  allocated for medical resources needed to train veterinary students and interns and provide quality care to animals at the SPCA of Tompkins County. In the past, funds have also been used specifically towards shelter animals receiving specialized care from the Cornell University Hospital for Animals (CUHA) at Cornell and programmatic outreach efforts.
