In the suggested lab activity, students measure pictures of developing cow embryos to generate data for size, and interpret data from graphs to determine embryos’ age & mass. They contrast developmental trends in cows with those of humans.
Also included in the kit is a set of color pictures from LIFE magazine’s April 1965 issue. The magazine’s feature, “Drama of Life Before Birth,” shows first-of-their-kind pictures of human fetal development.
