MY LAST WEEK AT PASTA

In last week’s blog post, I said I started to feel the weight of my experience coming to an end. This week was no different! I became emotional realizing how much I grew to love the community and the people who dedicated themselves to them. I feel like I have learned so much from my summer and it helped me give a face and voice to a group of people, their struggles, and their joys. I am so proud of the work I was able to accomplish and the curriculum that I hope will help the program and youth in the future. I want to take this opportunity to share my gratitude for the people with whom I worked closely and the knowledge and wisdom I will take with me from this summer. In the second picture below, I name Susan McCormack, Caitlin O’Brien, DeAnna Sardella-Matthews, Julika von Stackelberg, and Emi DiSciullio. Their work with kinship families inspired me every day and I only hope to be surrounded by people like them in my future.
