Welcome to the Cornell Chemical Ecology Core Facility! We’re a research and training facility specializing in quantitative analysis of small molecules by triple quadrupole LC-MS/MS, and adding GC-MS/MS capabilities in early 2025. Our main analyses are pesticide residues, plant secondary metabolites, and phytohormones, but other small molecule applications are also possible (e.g., insect hormones). We encourage you to contact us with any inquiries.
We provide our services to researchers within and outside of Cornell University, beekeepers, farmers, government agencies, and numerous stakeholder organizations and individuals throughout North America. We currently process ~2,500 samples per year. You can learn more about our analyses and fees here.
In addition to our analytical services, we also offer training and workshops to students who are interested in learning more about chromatography and mass spectrometry applications for their research.
