Welcome to the Cornell Chemical Ecology Core Facility! We’re a research and training facility specializing in the quantitative analysis of small molecules by LC-MS/MS. Our main analyses are pesticide residues, plant secondary metabolites and phytohormones. You can learn more about our analyses and fees here. In addition, other applications of LC-MS/MS are also possible. We encourage you to contact us with any inquiries.
We provide our services to researchers and students within Cornell University and outside of Cornell. In addition, we work directly with beekeepers and farmers in an extension capacity to provide timely information regarding pesticide residues. Over the past two years we have collaborated (and have ongoing collaborations) with numerous beekeepers, NYS apple and strawberry growers, and several research groups in North America, such as University of Massachusetts, Michigan State University, University of Guelph, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, North Carolina State University and others.
In addition to our analytical services, we also offer training and LC-MS/MS workshops to students who are interested in learning more about chromatography and mass spectrometry applications for their research.
