Mixed annual and flowerbulb containers

In North America, the major growth sector in recent years has been “vegetative annuals”, personified by new breeding efforts in crops such as calibrachoa, verbena, scaevola, angelonia, “tropicals”, bacopa, and a host of other plants. These plants have found a huge use in mixed containers, including large and small patio containers or hanging baskets. Flowerbulbs have been notably absent in the plant pallette used in these containers.
