Hello world!
Welcome to blogs.cornell.edu. And welcome to the blog for the ASSET Program at Cornell University funded by a grant from the SEPA program of the NIH.
Science class – the final frontier. These are the logs of ASSET. Our 5 year mission to explore new ways to present science in the classroom, and to boldly go where no tetrahymena has gone before.
Cue music…………..OK engineering is still working on that. But that’s what we’re here for. This is a place for teachers to meet, comment, celebrate, complain, or make suggestions for activities going on in the classrooms using ASSET materials.
Better check your copyright before you down load music. Do you have your own theme ?
Fantastic! ASSET : Promoting science education and conquering classrooms, one tetrahymena at a time.
Is this part of confluence or something totallly different?
No. This is another tool to create an online community that will feed collaborative efforts on the wiki and help with access to the online workshops
Mary Kay Hickey here. I hope teachers will explore the Tetrahymena activities. It’s a great, classroom-friendly organism to use and the labs reinforce many of the concepts students need to master in high school biology courses.
Marcy McKinley here…I hope to introduce my class to Tetrahymena starting in January. Any extra hints from those who hav already run the modules?
