SIPS-wide faculty mentoring workshops

Faculty Advancing Inclusive Mentoring (FAIM) Resource Center.

Workshop leaders:

  • Colleen McLinn, PhD Associate Dean for Professional Development
  • Sara Xayarath Hernandez Associate Dean for Inclusion and Student & Faculty Engagement
  • Gabriela Elizabeth Vargas, PhD Assistant Director in the Provost’s Office of Faculty Development and Diversity (OFDD)

We are excited to offer SIPS faculty an essential workshop focused on best practices in inclusive and equity-minded mentoring. This interactive training session will equip faculty with practical tools and strategies that can be immediately applied in your lab settings, including the Faculty Advancing Inclusive Mentoring (FAIM) Resource Center.

To accommodate varying schedules, we are offering three distinct opportunities to participate in this workshop. To align with upcoming requirements from the Graduate School, all SIPS faculty who mentor graduate students are expected to complete one of these training sessions. This proactive approach ensures that our faculty are well-prepared and equipped with the latest best practices in inclusive and equity-minded mentoring.
