This visit turned out to be the last one of the semester. While there, the news about what action Cornell was taking was released. Thought the general vibe at Cornell is anxiety over what’s going to happen, the cats seem to be pretty chill about it.

Due to a high concentration of work, I was unable to visit with the cats on the weeks that I was supposed to, and instead had to makeup a week this week. Compared with the last time that I visited the cats, the population was quite different. I was able to find one cat that was willing to interact with me… sort of.

This was the first week that I was able to visit cats at the shelter following the conclusion of winter break. Compared with the last time that I had visited, many of the cats were different. Most noticeably, one of the wings of the cat area had been sectioned off as a “Staff Only” area, meaning that I was unable to visit the cats in this portion of the shelter. I was able to find one cat who seemed willing to interact, and even talked back to me on occasion.
