This was the first week that I was able to visit cats at the shelter following the conclusion of winter break. Compared with the last time that I had visited, many of the cats were different. Most noticeably, one of the wings of the cat area had been sectioned off as a “Staff Only” area, meaning that I was unable to visit the cats in this portion of the shelter. I was able to find one cat who seemed willing to interact, and even talked back to me on occasion.
