Go Sports!

Every year my family watches the Super Bowl, but the primary reason is because everyone in America seems to do it and so we watch the game out of tradition. Even after watching the game for so many years, I never have any idea what is going on and always focus more on the funny commercials than anything else. This year, I really enjoyed watching the Super Bowl because I felt like I was able to learn more about football, since there were a lot of football fans watching. I appreciated being able to ask questions about the game in a judgement free zone, since I knew nothing about what was happening on the field. I left the event knowing more about football and a lot more about the Super Bowl. I had no idea that people bet on literally everything, even what color the gatorade will be! Overall, watching the game was really fun and it was interesting to learn more about how the Super Bowl truly is a cultural phenomenon. My favorite part is still watching all of the commercials, but I definitely left the event with a greater appreciation of football and of all the time, effort, and money that is put into making football’s most important night happen.

  1. It is insane how big of a phenomenon the super bowl has become. I feel like it has become a holiday in America with so many people watching it, regardless if they are a football fan or not. I love the party aspect of friends and family spending quality time together eating and drinking and just having a good time. It is definitely an event I look forward to every year.
