I attended the breakfree showcase with my friend, and we were truly blown away by the performances! As an avid viewer of, World of Dance, I love watching everyone’s unique choreography and how each dancer masters their performance. I can say I was truly jealous by how talented the breakfree dancers are! I definitely will return to watch them next year!

Unbelievable Coordination
I really had no idea what to expect when I was heading toward Bailey Hall. I know two people who are in breakfree through work, and while I knew they had won the Red Bull challenge and were considered a really amazing team, I simply had no frame of reference. First of all, Yamatai’s opening was really incredible. They are definitely a group I will look out for in the future. As for Breakfree themselves I was absolutely blown away. I still don’t have the perspective on dance I would need to comment on their abilities, but they were so impressively coordinated and the stories they portrayed matched very well with the choreography. I’m usually not a fan of packed auditoriums but it was worth it to see how well they’ve mastered what they do.
I Want to Break Free!
I saw Breakfree’s showcase last year and it was so amazing that I knew I had to go again this year. I also wanted to support a few of my friends who were also on the team. I really enjoyed the crowd’s energy. There were times where everyone just went crazy because of how well they were dancing. I also really enjoyed the guest performances. Everyone on stage had amazing facial expressions and looked like they were having so much fun. I can’t believe how quickly those two hours passed by. This is definitely an event that I will attend every year.
Dancing to your Belifs
This week I had an amazing opportunity to go see a performance by Break free, a student-run Dance team at Cornell. Their central theme of the performance was ‘Breaking’ and presented their idealism through dancing. It was very energizing and I came out form the performance inspired and awed. The team focused on the idea of family, and it was amazing to see it since their dance was so synchronized. In addition, it was interesting to see their idealism performed through dancing. I never knew that an Idealism could be presented through dancing and gave me fresh Ideas on how I can place my idealism in my own design pieces.
Break Free Show
It was an amazing performance yesterday at Bailey Hall. There are great dancers and singers. I really enjoy this special event. I really like the theme : BreakFree because I can break free from the constraints in my life, There are also Yamatai Pulse drum performances in the beginning, and Man’s cappella singing the river. I like the rhythm and the music for the hip hop dance was very energetic. It is truthfully one of the most exciting performance of the year.
