The group this day was pretty small and quiet, so I spent the bulk of my time talking to the teachers. One of the two teachers is from Africa and she was telling me about her poor upbringing in a village, and how her life changed when she moved to America. I felt really honored to hear her share her stories and also that it’s beautiful that through her job she can share her past with the next generation.
